VA6, Ep. 6 ES Gratitud: La Selva Esmeralda nos susurra: para vivirla es indispensable escuchar y compartir.

En este episodio honramos la gratitud, la llave dorada que atrae todas las bendiciones. Inspirada por el reconociento que expresé por el poder creativo de las manos, mis ojos han estado bien abiertos para identificar todas las manos que nos rodean y transforman a diario, el mundo.
Comparto dos de mis rituales del Día de Acción de Gracias y la preparación de nuestro menú elegido, Ajiaco, para celebrar mi ancestro colombiano. Mis manos también persisten en sus labores creativas, y esta semana, pinté una crucifixión inesperada que me ayudó a exorcisar el dolor de las muchas semillas sagradas de nuestro futuro que estamos sacrificando, a nivel global, absurdamente. Mi arte sobre las paredes nos regresa a reconocer el valor del arte de los muros de roca en el Amazonas, inspirado por su absoluta fascinación con el cosmos y la naturaleza y, a través del tiempo, el bosque persiste en susurrarnos: Gratitud: para vivirla es indispensable escuchar y compartir.

Gratitude: The forest whispers: It’s all about listening and sharing.

Episode 6 honors Gratitude, the Golden Key to all blessings.
Inspired by my acknowledgement of the creative power of hands, my eyes persist on being open to all the hands that surround us, transforming the world.
I share two of my Thanksgiving rituals, the Gathering Golden Gratitude ritual and the preparation of our meal, Ajiaco, in honor of my Colombian heritage.
My hands also continue their creative projects, and this week, I painted a surprising crucifixion that allowed me to exorcise the pain at the many sacred seeds of our future being sacrificed, needlessly, all around the world. My own art on walls takes us back to the value of the art on the rock cliffs in the amazon, inspired by their reverence of the cosmos and nature, and through them, reaching across time, the forest continues to whisper: It's all about listening and sharing.

Las Serpientes Ratoneras se devoran a sí mismas. Tiene que haber una manera más acertada de saciar el hambre del alma.
Este Episodio crea un espiral como la criatura a la que le hago honor y como la vida misma. Comienzo por compartir mi mito de origen favorito de las Victorias Amazónicas, para poder invocar el espíritu guerrero y las voces en defensa de los niños. La próxima semana UNICEF nos invita,de nuevo, a recordar y a ser defensores de los derechos de los niños; todos los niños. Luego, estas semillas sagradas nos llevan de regreso a Chiribiquete, y te cuento acerca de un festival que se celebra anualmente en la Amazonía,Yuruparí, en el que se conmemora la renovación permanente de la vida y las interacciones cruciales de los opuestos. Concluyo por compartir una reflexión acerca de mi vulnerabilidad de carácter, y la invitación a transformar nuestras debilidades en actos creativos de afirmación del poder de cada vida y cada voz particular.  

VA6, Ep. 5 Rat snakes eat themselves. There’s got to be a better way to quench the soul’s hunger.

Episode 5 spirals like the body of a snake. Like life itself, in fact. I begin by sharing my favorite origin myth for Victorias Amazonicas, in order to summon warrior spirits and voices in defense of children. Next week, UNICEF once again invites us all to remember and advocate for the International Declaration of the Rights of the Child, every single child. Then, these sacred seeds lead us back to Chiribiquete, where I tell you about a festival that is held once a year in the Amazon, Yuruparí, which honors life’s eternal rebirth and the crucial interactions of opposing forces. I conclude by sharing a reflection about my fatal flaw, and the invitation to transform our vulnerabilities into creative acts of assertion of the power of each life and unique voice.

¿Quién dijo que todo está Perdido? Yo vengo a ofrecer mi Corazón.

Tal como en el episodio anterior, este está dedicado a todas las criaturas que hemos perdido, y aquellas que continuaremos perdiendo. Repito el poema en el que fui la voz del venado atorado, quien pudo haber estado hablando por las muchas víctimas inocentes, a nivel global.
De nuevo, pregunto:
 
¿Podemos liberar al venado de la vida del alambre retorcido de nuestra codicia y sed de poder, antes de que sea demasiado tarde?
Luego comparto una historia personal acerca de ollas quebradas de barro, que contiene una reflexión profunda acerca de las heridas que portamos y las que observamos en otros, y a veces, elegimos ignorar. 
Establezco una conección entre el eclipse solar reciente con el poder del ritual compartido y comparto las investigaciones acerca de las características particulares de Chiribiquete que lo identifican como un Axis Mundi, un ombligo de la Tierra. Te invito a crear tu propio  ritual y a hallar la llave dorada que te transporte a lo sagrado, preguntando, con intención:

Like the previous episode, this one is also dedicated to all the creatures we have lost, and those we will continue to lose; and I revisit the poem in which I voiced the fawn, who could have been speaking for many innocent victims globally. Again, I ask
Can we free the fawn of life from the barbed wire of our delusions of power and rusted metal,
Before it is too late?
I share a personal story about Broken Pottery, holding a deep reflection about the wounds we carry and witness in others, or often, choose to disregard.
I connect the recent eclipse to the power of shared ritual and share the research about the peculiar characteristics Geo astronomical features of Chiribiquete as an Axis Mundi. I invite you to create your own ritual and golden key to the sacred, asking, with intention:

VA6, Ep.3, ES Cuando el Agua se Convierte en Fuego

Este episodio está dedicado a las muchas criaturas que hemos perdido, y las que continuaremos perdiendo. En honor a los delfines rosados quienes murieron en su propio elemento, el agua, debido a la anoxia, en el Lago Tefé. Luego comparto la historia de un pequeño venado que rescaté esta semana. Hoy, me pregunto: ¿Podremos liberar el venado de la vida del alambre retorcidos de nuestras ansias de poder y codicia, antes de que sea demasiado tarde?  
Con el Papa Francisco, cuestiono nuestro letargo y la falta de acciones concretas y eficientes para solucionar las crisis cumulativas.
Y, como el venado liberado, regresamos al bosque, a Chiribiquete, donde las voces de nuestros ancestros intentan recordarnos que el arco de la vida humana tiene más de una dimensión, basada en bienes materiales y el éxito arbitrariamente definido. Nuestra conexión a la naturaleza y la divinidad pueden ser nuestras gracias redentoras.
El Amazonas persiste en asombrar, en nuevos trabajos de tierra, escondidos bajo la Selva Esmeralda, y en los esfuerzos renovados de Victorias Amazónicas realies, como Sonia Guajarara, quienes persisten en exigir que se respeten sus derechos y se respete y revalúe su sabiduría. ¿Podremos desperltar antes de que más corrientes de agua se conviertan en fuego?  

VA6, Ep. 3 When Water Becomes Fire

This episode is dedicated to all the creatures we have lost, and those we will continue to lose. I honor the pink dolphins who died in their own element, water, due to anoxia, in Tefé Lake, and then I tell the story of a little fawn I rescued this week. Today, I wonder: Can we free the fawn of life from the barbed wire of our delusions of power and rusted metal, before it is too late?
Along with Pope Francis, I question our complacency and lack of concerted, concrete actions to address the mounting crises.
And, like prancing deer, we go back to the forest, and to Chiribiquete, where the voices of our ancestors still long to remind us that the arc of human life has more than one, material-based, success oriented arc. Our connection to nature and divinity can be our saving graces.
The Amazon continues to astound, in newly found earthworks, hidden below the canopy, and in the renewed efforts of Victorias Amazonicas, like Sonia Guajarara, who continue to demand their rights, and their wisdom be revalued and respected. Can we wake up before yet more water becomes fire?
