This episode is an exploration of what Home means, not only as a place, but as an eternal longing. The Acacias is a song that, along with the memory of my mother, voicing poetry, allowed me to understand the pain of the displaced, the sorrow of a lost home, and by sharing them, I invite you to cherish, to enjoy life and be more present to our daily experience. 

VA1 Ep. 21 A Matter of Place, The Eagle Lands in Medellín

This is the first of four episodes which will bridge the first and second seasons of Victoria Amazonica. We land, like an eagle, in Medellín, loaded with baskets, blow spears, arrows and even animals. We struggled to leave the Emerald Forest behind and tried to surrender to the new lives we were creating in Medellín.

Este es el primer Episodio de cuatro que establecerán la transición entre nuestra primera y segunda temporada. Atterizamos, como un águila, en  Medellín, cargados de canastos, cerbatanas Amazónicas, flechas y hasta animales. Estábamos intentando, en vano, aferrarnos a la Selva Esmeralda que habíamos dejado atrás, pero persistíamos en luchar por sumergirnos plenamente en la nueva vida que estábamos construyendo en Medellín.

Proclamo el mensaje de que todo sufrimiento es importante porque le permite a la compasión a abrirnos los corazones. Comparto las muchas maneras en que nos despedimos y expresamos nuestro agradecimiento al Amazonas y todas las personas que conocimos y aprendimos a amar. El epílogo enfatiza la larga jornada que permitió que tú y yo compartiéramos esta Victoria Amazónica y te invito a escuchar a las meditaciones semanales que publicaré en Octubre y te invito a descurbrir conmigo Victoria Amazónica 2, la cual lanzaré en Noviembre.

I voice the message of certainty that all suffering matters by inviting compassion to crack our hearts open. I share the many ways in which we said our good-byes and thank-yous to the Amazon and the many people we met and learned to love. The epilogue emphasizes the long journey that made our shared Victoria Amazonica a reality and I invite you to listen to the weekly live meditations coming in October and Victoria Amazonica 2, launching in November.

VA1, Ep. 18 ES Desbaratando la Piñata del Corona Virus, Quemando el Año Viejo y sintiéndome como una Victoria Amazónica

¡Este es un episodio de celebración! Honramos el  9/11 y te enseño a fabricar y romper una piñata en forma de Corona Virus. Quemamos el Año Viejo en Leticia, rodeados de familia y logro sobrevivir un accidente de motocicleta y comprar un pase de conducción en el Amazonas, por lo que me siento ¡como una veradera Victoria Amazónica!
