It is an inspirational opportunity for us all to advocate, promote and protect the rights of every single child. We are custodians of our own inner forests, but also of the sacred seeds of our future; our children.

Hoy celebro, con muchos otros, un nuevo comienzo, y empiezo a narrar la historia de la Victoria Amazónica, semilla original de mi vida, mi Madre. Con los cuentos acerca de mi origen y cómo ellos colaboraron a mi identidad, y te invito a perderte en la maleza de mi bosque, y a explorar tu propia Selva Amazónica interna.

I celebrate like the rest of the country, a new beginning, and I start sharing the story of the original Victoria Amazonica that seeded my life, my Mother. I start sharing the many ways in which my origin stories shaped who I am and dare you to get lost in the thicket of my forest, and to explore the inner Amazon we each house within. 

VA1, Ep. 23 The Tributaries, those Beloved Beings who become Rivers of Life

This Episode is dedicated to the memory of my Aunt Nena, who died yesterday. Her life was like fresh water that fed my life, as well as being the axis around which Grandma Juana’s house revolved; this was the space that grounded my childhood and it became the house that I carry in my heart, like a snail, the place that allowed me to grow roots and where I learned to love and to live with joy and delight. 

VA1, Ep. 23 ES Los Tributarios, Aquellos Seres Amados que son Ríos de Vida

Este Episodio lo dedico a mi Tía Nena, quien murió hoy. Su vida fue pura agua fresca que alimentó mi vida, y además el eje de la Casa de la Abuela Juana, el espacio que marcó mi infancia, y la casa que cargo a cuestas, como el caracol, espacio que me dio raíces y donde aprendí a amar y a vivir con alegría y gusto. 

VA1, Ep. 22 ES Las Acacias, El Himno del Desplazado, la Balada del Hogar Perdido

Este episodio es una exploración de lo que significa el Hogar, no solo como lugar, sino como una añoranza eterna. Las Acacias es una canción, que además del recuerdo de mi madre, declamando poesía, me permitió entender el dolor del desplazado, la pena por el hogar perdido, y al compartirlos, te invito a disfrutar la vida, a permanecer presente en tu experiencia cotidiana.

This episode is an exploration of what Home means, not only as a place, but as an eternal longing. The Acacias is a song that, along with the memory of my mother, voicing poetry, allowed me to understand the pain of the displaced, the sorrow of a lost home, and by sharing them, I invite you to cherish, to enjoy life and be more present to our daily experience.
