VA 4, Ep.5 Let There be Spaces in Your Dualities

Today, Tuesday 2-22-22, I honor duality in this storytelling experiment which in this episode, celebrates Marriage. We started weaving the web of Love that holds relationships of all sorts last week. I share my dreams, rich in meaning and metaphor, and we visit the wild love affair between the Amazon Rainforest and her consort, learn about the different types of forest that make up the Amazon Basin which are nurtured by the raging river that traverses her like an umbilical cord that feeds the abundant life she holds.
It’s going to be a wild ride!

VA4, Ep. 4 ES Miguitas de Ternura, si te sobra un poquito, dámelo a mí

Celebramos el Amor. Comenzamos en la Selva Peruana, donde un derrame de petróleo reciente abre una historia en la que escuché la historia de un niño llamado Osman que se coló en mis sueños y me permite introducir el tema del Amor en este episodio. Se entreteje con el amor que los habitantes originales de la selva sentían por su habitat sagrado, contrastado con la actitud de explotación con la que se han destrozado sus riquezas. Al destruir la Selva, estamos traicionando a los niños del planeta. Este es el legado que les pertenece, y ellos cuentan con la protección y el cuidado que le debemos a su futuro. 
Nos piden miguitas de ternura, pero les podemos dar much más, un Amor Grande, que te invito a celebrar esta semana, un amor que nos conecta con la misericordia y la compasión humana.

VA4, Ep. 4 Crumbs of Tenderness, if you have some, I need them all.

We start in the Peruvian Amazon, where a recent oil spill opened a story in which I learned of a particular child, Osman, who invaded my dreams and allows me to introduce the theme of Love in today’s episode. It becomes interwoven with the love that the original inhabitants of the Rainforest have for their sacred environment, contrasted with the exploitative attitude with which its wealth has been ransacked and destroyed. In destroying the Forest, we are betraying every child on this planet. Theirs is the legacy that we are looting, and they are counting on us to protect and care for their rightful future. 
They are counting on crumbs of tenderness, but we owe them much more, a Big Love, which I invite us to celebrate this week, a Love that connects us to the Heart of Mercy that lies at the foundation of our shared bonds of compassion, that ability we possess to see the suffering of another and react in order to alleviate pain.

VA4, Ep. 3 ES Contemplación e Introspección: El Ritual de Florecimiento de la Victoria Amazónica y la Partida de un Profeta

Regreso después de dos meses de introspección y contemplación para volver a describir el ritual de florecimiento de la Victoria Amazónica y explorar los paralelos entre la flor que muere de manera que su semilla pueda germinar un día y así, se asegure el futuro de la planta misma y las palabras que deja como legado un profeta que parte. Me ofrezco como voluntaria para contar estas historias, semana tras semana, envueltas en el denso follaje de la Selva Esmeralda, y ellas viajarán como  ondas sonoras en busca de tierra fértil donde afianzar sus raíces y propagarse. 

VA 4, Ep. 3 Contemplation and Introspection: The Victoria Amazonica Blooming Ritual and the Departure of a Prophet

I return after two months of contemplation and introspection to revisit the blooming ritual of the Victoria Amazonica and explore the parallels between a flower that dies so that its seed might one day germinate and assure the future of the plant itself and the words left behind by a departing prophet, I volunteer to voice these stories, week by week, wrapped within the foliage of the Emerald Forest, and they will travel on the airwaves in search of fertile ground in which to grow roots and propagate. 

VA4, Ep.2, ES Un Par de Ojos Entre la Densidad de la Selva

Nos encontramos de nuevo, en el umbral del comienzo, y no adentramos en la Selva Amazónica, donde te guío en un meditación en la que nos volveremos uno con un árbol. Luego, regresamos a Tarapacá, donde hallé el par de ojos con el que había estado soñando desde niña, un par de ojos entre la densidad del bosque. Esos ojos me enseñaron acerca de la presencia, de la amabilidad y el regalo enorme de Ser al lado de otro Ser. 

VA 4, Ep. 2 A Pair of Eyes in the Wilderness

We meet once again at the threshold to the beginning, and walk deep into the rainforest, and I lead you on a meditation to become one with a tree. Then, we return to Tarapacá, where I found the pair of eyes that I had been dreaming about since I was a child, a pair of eyes in the wilderness. Those eyes taught me about presence, kindness and the powerful gift of Being with another.

Este es el primer capítulo de nuestra entrega #4, en la que escucho la voz de la Selva Amazónica, clara y fuerte y manifestada en los muchos desastres naturales y la incertidumbre que vivimos colectivamente. También te invito a recordar la primera vez que escuché la voz de la Selva Esmeralda, y te cuento sobre una carta de amor que nos dejaron, hace milenios, los primeros habitantes de la Selva. Juntos, seremos testigos de una ventana que se abre y observaremos el ritual de la danza shamánica que nos permitirá ir de regreso al comienzo del tiempo. ¡Perdámonos en el Amazonas y respondamos a su llamado!
