Esta es una meditación acerca de los sueños que todos tenemos de un lugar que nos ofrezca refugio y el anhelo intenso de volver al hogar, sin importar cuán lejos estemos. Te llevo a visitar a dos ciudades de la Costa Caribe Colombiana, Cartagena y Santa Marta, y a través de una canción, Las Acacias, y las palabras mismas de El Profeta, te invito a volverte a comprometer con la intención de ser un administrador abnegado, bien sea que consideres tu cuerpo, tu casa o nuestro hogar planetario como el contenedor de tu vida.

This is a meditation on the dreams we all have of a safe place to offer us refuge and the powerful longing to return home, no matter how far we might have wandered. I take you to visit two cities in the Colombian Caribbean, Cartagena and Santa Marta, and through the words of a song, Las Acacias, and The Prophet’s own reflections, I invite you to recommit to be a loving caretaker; whether we consider our body, our house or our planetary abode the container of our life.  

VA4, Ep. 10 ES Regocijémonos y Recuperemos la Fruición

¡Feliz Día de las Madres!
Me adelanto unos pocos días para publicar este episodio en honor a las primeras maestras del Amor. En el episodio #10, explloramos la Alegría y el Dolor.Comienzo por contarte sobre el Coro Para Cruzar el Umbral, Threshold Choir en inglés, una organización que le ofrece canciones de acompañamiento a quienes están agonizando, y te presento una amiga mía, quien dirige el capítulo local del Coro en San Antonio. Ella organizó, recientemente, un evento coral para honrar a los muchos seres amados que hemos perdido a raíz de la pandemia del Covid 19 y el coro de voces nos invita a volver a encender nuestra alegría. También te cuento un poco acerca de mi hermana. Ella personifica la alegría y le dedica su vida al servicio de los perros abandonados y desamparados en Medellín, Colombia. ¡Celebremos la vida, en su totalidad!
Inhala una pena,

In this episode, we expllore Joy and Sorrow.
I introduce you to the Threshold Choir, an organization that brings songs of comfort to the dying, and I introduce you to a friend of mine, who directs the San Antonio chapter and recently organized a choral event to honor the losses of the Covid Pandemic and the chorus of voices invited us to rekindle joy. 
I also share my sister’s story, she embodies joy and dedicates her life to the service of neglected and abandoned dogs in Medellín, Colombia. 
May we revel in life, all of it!
Breathe in a sorrow, Breathe out Joy
Between those waves,

VA 4, Ep. 9 ES La Tierra nos está llamando; ¡A trabajar!

Este es un episodio largo, en el que honro el Día de la Tierra y celebro dos años de Victoria Amazonica. Refexioné profundamente acerca del trabajo. Comienzo por compartir un resumen de mi vida laboral y mi rutina diaria actual, gracias a la cual me he convertido en una Estudiante, después de haber sido Maestra durante la mayor parte de mi vida, y ahora, la Naturaleza es mi Maestra. Los humanos ya no son mis superiores, yo trabajo para la vida, por el amor y para mantenerme conectada con la red de la vida.  
Luego comparto dos historias que son ejemplos de resiliencia y del concepto de diseño social, en los que momentos de descomposición social, en los que el modo habitual de ser y estar en el mundo se desmoronan, proporcionando la oportunidad para que nuevas maneras de vivir puedan surgir.
Escuchamos a las mujeres que lideran la primera iniciativa en Dakota del Norte, a los líderes de los Apiwtxa, quienes tienen un mensaje para todos nosotros y nos invitan a unirnos a su lucha por el cambio. 

VA 4, Ep. 9 Mother Earth Calling: Let’s Work!

This is a long episode in which I honor Earth Day, and celebrate two years of Victoria Amazonica. I think long and deeply about work. I start by sharing a summary of my work life and my current daily routine, in which I realize after being a Teacher for most of my life, I have become a Student, and Nature is my Master. Humans are no longer my bosses, I work for life, for love and to remain connected to the web of life.
I share two stories of resilience and that exemplify the concept of social design, in which moments of social breakdown, when the habitual mode of being in the world is being disrupted become the opportunities for new ways of living to emerge.
We listen to the women who led the first initiative in North Dakota, to the leaders of the Apiwtxa, who voice their message and invite us all to join them to change history and heal the Earth. 
Mother Earth is calling throughout, proposing that we all get to Work!
 

VA4, Ep. 8 ES El Testamento de lo Vivido

Nuestro tema es la Comida. Comienzo contándote acerca de la Victoria Amazónica que hizo posible que nosotros sobreviviéramos en el ambiente hostil que constituye el Amazonas. Con Tomasita, te invito a conocer algunos de los alimentos y preparaciones que las comunidades indígenas han ideado para subsistir dentro de su medio ambiente. Al recordar las palabras de El Profeta al respecto, propongo regresar a una relación más sana con nuestros alimentos, de manera que podamos restaurar los entornos naturales de nuestro planeta. Concluyo guiándote en un regalo sensorial que you llamo El Testamento de lo Vivido, para celebrar nuestro episodio #101.

Our topic is Food. I start by honoring the Victoria Amazonica who made it possible for us to thrive in the hostile environment that the Amazon is, Tomasita. With her, I invite you find out about the food and preparations that indigenous people have mastered within their natural surroundings. As we revisit The Prophet’s words on the topic,  I propose returning to a healthier relationship to food in order to restore our depleted planet, and I guide you on a sensorial reboot that I call, The Living Will, which is my gift to you in order to celebrate my 100th Episode.
