Es tan Sublime lo que se ofrece a nuestros ojos, que allí permanecemos, con las manos entrelazadas. 
Le abrimos la puerta a la belleza con el recuerdo de la sinfonía peculiar que ofrecen las luciérnagas, y revivimos la magia del Amazonas en la noche. Te comparto el concepto de quimera, y la idea de que en destello de las luciérnagas se esconde una fórmula que los matemáticos han buscado por años, que esprese la variabilidad que existe dentro de la sinfonía. Guiados por las palabras de El Profeta acerca de la Belleza y la Religión, regresamos a explorar los pueblos de la Anaconda, para buscar en su cosmovisión, la celebración cotidiana de la belleza, una manera de vivir que expresa lo sagrado en el ritual y en su convicción de que sus esfuerzos persiguen restaurar y mantener en armonía los flujos energéticos de la vida y el equilibrio del universo.

I open the way for Beauty by inviting you to relive with me, the dissonant symphony of fireflies I witnessed in the Amazon at night, and I introduce the concept of chimera, and the idea that within the flickering fireflies hides a beat that mathematicians have long been seeking to exprress variation within synchrony. Guided by the words offered by The Prophet regarding Beauty and Religion, I lead you back to the Peoples of the Anaconda, to find, within their cosmovision, a daily honoring of beauty, a way of living that expresses finding the sacred in ritual and their conviction that their struggles pursue the maintenance of the energetic flows of life and the restauration of the order of the universe. 

VA 4, Ep. 20 ES Oremos y Celebremos la Vida como los Barasana; el Pueblo de la Anaconda

Nos sumergimos en temas que son complementarios y crucial para nuestro bienestar interior; la oración y el placer. Comparto un libro al acudí en busca de ayuda con esta reflexión, Los Que Hallan los Caminos, de Wade Davis, un antropólogo, etnobotánico y acumulador de sabidurías ancestrales que ha recopilado por el mundo entero. El capítulo titulado Pueblos de la Anaconda nos sirve de portal para comenzar a explorar la cosmovisión atemporal y propicia; acompañada de la mitología de los habitantes del noroeste de la Amazonía Colombiana, sobrevivientes, guerreros y shamanes que poseen sabiduría relevante para resolver nuestras crisis contemporáneas. 

VA. 4, Ep. 20 To Pray and Rejoice like the Peoples of the Anaconda; The Barasanas

We delve into to topics that are interestingly, complementary and crucial to our inner well-being; Prayer and Pleasure. I share a book I turned  to for help with this reflection, The Wayfinders, by Wade Davis, an anthropologist, ethnobotanist and keeper of knowledge he has collected from global cultures. The chapter titled The Peoples of the Anaconda serves as a portal to start to explore the timeless and propitious cosmovision and mythology of the inhabitants of the Northwestern Colombian Amazon; survivors, warriors and shamans that possess relevant wisdom for our contemporary crises. 
 

VA4, Ep.19 ES Debemos Hablar acerca de Bruno, y Dom; Ellos permanecen vivos en la voz y la esencia del Amazonas

Regreso con el tema del Bien y del Mal, guiada por el libro atemporal de Khalil Gibrán, El Profeta. Aprovechando su análisis, profundizamos en un artículo escrito por Terrence McCoy, publicado por el Washington Post, en el que él viaja al Amazonas para investigar las muertes de Dom Phillips, su amigo y el Indigenista, Bruno Pereira. Con su periodismo investigativo magistral, nos revela por qué el Amazonas está en tanto peligro. Hoy celebramos la esperanza que representa la victoria de Lula Da Silva para la Selva y el mundo entero. Yo me comprometo a continuar narrando las historias de la Selva Esmeralda, confiando en que no apartemos la vista de este tesoro y actuemos antes de que sea demasiado tarde.

I return with the topic of Good And EVil, led by The Prohet’s words, Khalil Gibran timeless book, and we are led by his analysis, to an article written by Terrence McCoy, published by The Washington Post, in which he travels to the Amazon and investigates why his friend, Dom Phillips, and the Indigenista, Bruno Pereira, were killed. With his extraordinary investigative journalism, he also reveals why The Amazon is in such peril. I commit to continue to tell the stories of the Emerald Forest, hoping we won’t look away and we act before it’s too late. 

VA4, Ep.18 ES El Regalo Finito del Tiempo

Este es un episodio en el que exploramos las muchas caras del Tiempo. Nos guían las palabras de El Profeta, y luego menciono un libro que encontré recientemente, llamado “El Dueño del Tiempo”, que me ayudó a madurar mi reflexión. También menciono El Hombre del Hueco, el último sobreviviente de una tribu aislada de la Amazonía quien fue hallado, muerto, y con él, el pasado afirma su presencia. Regreso al primer episodio de Victoria Amazónica y solicito un receso de un mes, el regalo del tiempo que necesitio para enfocar toda mi energía para vivir una ocasión especial en la vida de mi familia. Mi pregunta final es: “Qué te motivaría a abandonar los compromisos cotidianos obligados para regalarte a ti mismo el don del tiempo?”

VA 4, Ep. 18 The Finite Gift of Time

This is an episode in which we explore the many facets of Time. We are led by The Prophet’s words, and then I mention a book I found recently, which helped me mature my reflection, “The Time Keeper”, by Mitch Albom. I also mention the Man in the Hole, the lone survivor of an Amazon uncontacted tribe who was found dead this week, and the past asserts its presence. I revisit my first episode and announce my one month recess, a gift of time I need to focus all my energy for a special occasion in our family’s life.  My final question: “What would make you walk away from the to-dos of daily demands and give yourself the gift of time?”
